Differences That Ignite the Cold War
The Soviet Union
-Ruled under communism, which did not allowed the soveit union to control all economic affairs.
-In the Soveit Union they use a taletorian government.
-During World War II the Soveit Union Allies with Germany.
-Wanted to rebuid the European Government in order to help create new markets and goods.
-They wanted to reunite Germany.
The United States
-Ruled under capatalistic government, which allowed the citizens control most economic affaris.
-Vote by election for presidents and congress from different political parties.
-During World War II the U.S never allied with Germany.
-Let them restore the economy using raw materials.
-They wanted to keep germany divided, so they're weak.

The Postdam Conference
On July 1945 the Postdam Conference took place between the U.S, Soveit Union, and Brittain. In the last conference, the Yalta Conference, Stalin had promised to allow free elections. However, in this conference he made it clear he had no intention
Soveit Union Tgihtens Grip on Eastern Europe
During World War II the Soveit Union lost haevy amounts of soliders and as result they felt the right to take over eastern europe. The Soveit Union felt hey could stop another World War by dominating Eastern Europe. Stalin esatblished Communist governments with many eastern countires such as: Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Poland. These countries were known as settalite nations.
The United Establishes a Policy of continment
In Feburary 1946, Goerge F. Kennan, an american diplomat in russia proposed continmet. Continemnet is when a country takes maeasures in order to prevent an extension of communism.

The Truman Doctrine
On March 12, 1947, Truman requested 400 million in order to help trukey nad greece. Truman did this because he belived it would refrane the soviets unions influence of communism.
The Berlin Aircraft:
The reasources in Eastern Europe were really low nad the U.S statrted the Berlin Aircraft in order to help Berlin and fly reasources there. West Berlin had a really low chance of survival but with the Aircraft they did.
The Marshall Plan
In 1947 secratary of state, Goerge Marshall proposed to the United Staets that they should help the other Eureopean countries. This plan was claeed the Marshall Plan.
The Nato Alliance
The fear of the Soveit Union in Western Europe increased. On april 4, 1949, West europena natios joined the U.S and Canada. This alliance included a milltary alliance, if russia had anything planned they would support eachother.
